Better Blood: Blood Tonifying Treats

Ingredients:

Sardine, Chinese Yam, Red Dates, Kelp

When your dog needs a little extra nourishment, Better Blood offers a blend of ingredients traditionally chosen to support vitality, resilience and blood nourishment—helping them feel their best through every stage of life.

Nature & Role:

  • TCM quality: Blood tonifying and Qi boosting
  • Sardine + red dates support blood and vitality
  • Chinese yam protects digestion

Can it be fed daily?

Better Blood is intended as a nourishing functional treat and is not recommended for daily long-term feeding.

Due to the naturally higher fat content of sardines, we recommend feeding 1–2 pieces per day. This treat may not be suitable in larger amounts for dogs that are prone to digestive sensitivities or gastrointestinal upset.

Best for:

  • Seniors
  • Pets with low vitality or recovery needs
  • Pets that run “cool” or tire easily

Treat Texture

Gentle Bite

Crisp Bite

Firm Bite

Because our treats are made with different proteins, ingredients, and shapes, their texture can vary from one recipe to another.

Gentle Bite: Breaks apart easily with light pressure. Ideal for puppies, senior pets, smaller mouths, or those who prefer a softer crunch.

Crisp Bite: A light, satisfying crunch with moderate resistance. Suitable for most dogs and cats.

Firm Bite: Denser and more robust, with a longer-lasting crunch. Great for pets who enjoy a heartier bite.

Every pet is different, so if your companion prefers a particular texture, feel free to reach out and we'll be happy to recommend a suitable treat.

  • Before opening: Store sealed packs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • After opening: Transfer treats to an airtight container or resealable bag and handle with dry hands to minimise moisture exposure.
  • Continue to store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • For optimal freshness and to best preserve the treats' appearance and quality, we recommend storing them in the refrigerator or a wine chiller.
  • Please refer to the expiry date printed on the package or container.

As our treats contain no artificial preservatives, proper storage is important to maintain their quality.

Freeze-dried treats naturally absorb moisture from the environment. Keeping them well-sealed will help maintain their signature crunch.

About The Better Series

The Better Series is a collaboration between Fur Folks Home and In Good Thyme, made with the same thinking behind medicinal food — that what we feed a body shapes how it feels. Each treat plays a small functional role: to soothe, to nourish, to bring things back into balance.

It's for pets who are doing just fine, and for pets who could use a little extra care — because health isn't binary. Pets aren't simply "well" or "unwell," they're living systems shaped by diet, age, and everyday life.

And it's how we support Fur Folks Home: 10% of every purchase goes directly to their work caring for pets in their final season.
